Diploma in Secondary School Teacher Education

ZAMCOL offers the Diploma in Secondary School Teacher Education which is examined and certificated by the Copperbelt University (CBU). The Diploma Course takes three years with each intake starting in April. It is done through a structured distance learning mode.

For each academic year, a student will be required to attend three (3) spaced-out compulsory contact sessions, referred to as Residential School, which are scheduled during the Zambian school holidays which are traditionally in the months of April, August and December.

Currently residential schools are conducted from our six centres – Solwezi, Chipata, Mongu, Mansa, Kasama and Chinsali. The durations for the residential school sessions are three (3) weeks for April and August, while the December school last for the two (2) weeks. During this period students undergo intensive lecture-led lessons, revisions, write assignments and assessments
